"Japan International Ballet Festival" will be held in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan.
This festival takes over the "Ballet Workshop in Nara" and "Ballet Competition in Nara" with a 16-year history in Nara Prefecture.
Through our partnership with the Vaganova Ballet School in Russia, we have welcomed the teachers of the school as the judges and trainers. We have been contributing to send many students to foreign countries and develop excellent ballet dancers. From 2019, we have newly opened a more international competition, workshop, gala concert with various ballet schools’ artistic directors and teachers including Mr. Vladimir Malakhov.

At the Japan International Ballet Festival 2019 and 2020, Mr. Stepin taught Acting class and was a judge for the competition.
He has been to Japan annually for the past 20 years for the Nara International Ballet and JIBC, teaching classes with enthusiasm.
Mr. Stepin had been planning to return to Japan this year as well, but sadly he had past away February 2021.
May his soul rest in peace.
